Eight Point Lake

Eight Point Lake is located in Clare County, about 1.5 miles south of US10, approximately 2 miles west of Lake Station and 15 miles west of Clare. Eight Point Lake comprises 387 acres and is considered a shallow with a maximum depth of 25 ft. The lake has no real inlets and outlets, except for a small drainage that drains to wetland areas. Eight Point Lake is located in the western North Branch of the Chippewa River watershed. The Chippewa River flows to the Tittabawassee River in Midland, which flows to the Saginaw River, which discharges to Saginaw Bay of Lake Huron. 

Eight Point Lake has a DNR launch site on the South end of the lake and is considered an All-Sports lake accessible for all types of boats and watercraft.

Fishing on the lake is good with good populations of Bluegill, Black Crappie, Sunfish and Perch. Good populations of Largemouth and Rock Bass are found and the Lake Association has a Walleye stocking program in place.
